Welcome to our Home
We’re Jonathan and Debbie
Welcome! We’re happy you’re here.
We’re the proud owners of Cascadia House and we can’t wait to virtually show you around and have you come stay!
We’re Manx born – Jonathan’s family history of the Christians goes back to 1176. Cascadia House is just a few miles from the traditional Family Estate of @milntown.estate
Home for us now is Vancouver where we moved to in 2002 to bring up our 3 girls. They say “you can take the man away from the Manx but you can’t ever remove the Manx from the man”. Our love for the Island was restored after an extended stay here in 2021 and we’re delighted to bring our Pacific North West (Cascadia) ideologies to the Island.
We strive to create a work/life blend. Cascadia house is our safe haven from the busyness of life. Yet it boasts the very best broadband wifi and streaming.
It’s the perfect combination for work, rest, and play!
Why Cascadia?
We were born and raised in the Isle of Man but now live in Vancouver Canada. We love the Pacific North West (PNW), and we are delighted to be able to bring a bit of the PNW to the Isle of Man!
The Pacific Northwest Bioregion is also referred to as the Cascadia Bioregion. Bioregions are geographically based areas defined by land or soil composition, watershed, climate, flora, and fauna. The Cascadia Bioregion claims the entire watershed of the Columbia River (as far as the Continental Divide), as well as the Cascade Range from Northern California well into Canada. It’s also considered to include the associated ocean and seas and their ecosystems out to the continental slope. The delineation of a bioregion has environmental stewardship as its primary goal, with the belief that political boundaries should match ecological and cultural boundaries.[1]
The Cascadia bioregion is the area from Vancouver, B.C. down to Portland, Oregon has been termed a megaregion by the U.S. and Canadian governments, especially along the ‘Cascadian Corridor’
It’s our connection from where we live in BC Canada to the way we do life bringing a little of the PNW (Pacific North West) to the Island.
